"I have an uncurable form of cancer and maybe two to three years left. I just wanted my basement done so I could enjoy life and know my wife was taken care of. I paid them $50,000 upfront... [he] asked for more... I paid him another four thousand. And no one ever showed up. For just shy of $55,000, I got about $5,000 worth of work. That's it."
