Exploring Life & Business: MH Plumbing Featured in Voyage Minnesota

It’s not every day you get asked to talk about your life’s work, so when the team at Voyage Minnesota reached out to feature MH Plumbing in their "Exploring Life & Business" series, I was pretty humbled.

If you know me, you know I’d usually rather be out in the field solving problems and helping our clients than talking about myself. But this interview was a great opportunity to reflect on how far MH Plumbing has come, the legacy my dad started, and the community we’re so proud to serve here in the Twin Cities.

Stepping Into the Family Business

In the interview, I talked a bit about my background. A few years ago, I was working in a different, highly stressful career. Eventually, I realized that if I was going to pour my blood, sweat, and tears into a business, it made sense to do it for my own family.

Taking the reins from my dad, Mark, wasn’t just a career change—it was a commitment to keeping his standard of honest, high-quality service alive. Since then, we’ve grown our crew into a dedicated, full-service team capable of handling everything from residential emergencies to large-scale general contracting projects.

Why We Started "Project Relief"

One of the most important things we discussed in the article was our Project Relief initiative.

Over the years, we’ve walked onto too many jobsites where local homeowners were left high and dry by unreliable contractors, sometimes to the tune of a $50,000 hole in their budget. Seeing our neighbors get burned like that never sat right with me. We launched Project Relief to step up and help out those folks when they need it most. At the end of the day, we aren't just contractors; we're part of this community, and we believe in doing right by people.
